In short, blocked fallopian tubes happen due to a variety of trauma such as miscarriage, abortion, or surgery of the fallopian tubes or anywhere near them. Conditions such as endometriosis or asherman’s syndrome are also known to create blockages in the tubes. Sexually transmitted infections are another common cause. What you already probably know is that it is not possible to get pregnant naturally while the fallopian tubes are blocked. You may have already been trying to conceive for months or years and could attest for this to be true.
